Well, first off, they worked out 4+ hours a day in order to try to win that $250,000 prize money.
Do you have that much time every day?
Didn’t think so.
Besides, some of the contestants have admitted to having health problems, like insomnia and stress. Yup, losing 2+ pounds a day tends to do that to a person.
The goal is to lose as much fat as possible, while still being healthy, with a full tank of giddy up and go!, so this is what this week’s webletter is about. Let’s get to it!
So – can we lose 1 pound of fat a day and still have energy and focus?
Well, excuse the pun, but there is no one-size-fits-all answer, because everyone is different due to their genetics and overall life and work style.
Some people can lose 1 pound a day, some people can’t.
So forget about trying to find the answer on the Internet, or even asking a dietician. How YOU feel when on such a diet will be your answer.
The medical field has stated that you should lose only 1 to 2 pounds a week. But look at how many who are losing more than that, and they are still healthy.
It all depends on each individual.
Do These 3 Things to Help You Lose (close to) 1 Pound of Fat a Day
Okay, so you are going to go for it. In addition to letting your doctor know what is going on, here are a few things to do that will help you be more successful.
- When you lose that much weight a day, some of it will be muscle. That is not what you want to be losing! So go to the gym to keep what you have.
If the gym is a strange and foreign land to you, do this simple routine that will keep your muscles from going south: Do 3 sets of 5 to 8 repetitions of squatting, bench pressing, curling, shoulder pressing (pressing up a barbell or dumbells), and barbell or dumbbell rowing.
Your last rep should be a little hard to get up. 30 to 45 minutes, three times a week will be just fine.
This will also help you lose more fat. Obviously.
- Also, when you lose that much weight a day, you should drink at least 8, 8-ounce cups of water. Otherwise you will be losing a lot of water, which may affect your health, mood, and focus
